Young Coconut Leaves 
Material: Young Coconut
Artisans hand pick, scrape, boil and sun-dry young coconut leaves to create a fiber ideal for braiding, plaiting and weaving. Perfect for Tahitian dance groups and costumes. Known in Tahiti as Niau Blanc. Also known as Rito (Cook Islands) or Kimij (Marshall Islands).  ​

Lauhala Leaf Rolls 
Measurements: Approx 4 lbs, 80 leaves, Leaf length approx 6 ft" per leaf
Material: Lauhala

Selectively harvested and dried Pandanus leaves, ideally suited for traditional Polynesian weaving projects - hats, mats, baskets, etc. Excellent for creating authentic dance costumes.

Fiji Coconut Sennit Rope 
Measurements: 80-100 yards per bundle
Coconut sennit rope is a traditional cordage made from dried coconut palm fibers. The fibers of the coconut husk are bound together in overlapping fashion and hand-rolled to produce a sturdy but lightweight cord, then 3-ply braided for strength. Durable and decorative, coconut sennit rope is an essential element of Polynesian sea voyaging and architecture. For functional and craft use. 
*Due to the handmade nature of this item and natural materials used, there may be slight differences in thickness between cord bundles.

Traditional Tapa (Barkcloth), Plain White 
​Measurements:  12' x 2'.
The texture of tapa is like thick fabric. Traditionally, tapa was used for clothing, bedding and ceremonially displayed wall hangings. These days it is framed and displayed, used as a table covering, and offered as a treasured gift, among many other uses. It is tear-resistant, but can be cut. These pieces are plain and light in color, awaiting your own creative inspiration.

Micronesian Coconut Sennit Cordage (3-4 mm, 2mm)
Available in regular, 3-4 mm wide, or fine, 2 mm wide
Measurements: Approx. 225 ft.
Coconut sennit cordage is a traditional rope used for practical and artistic purposes. The fibers of the coconut husk are bound together in overlapping fashion and hand-rolled. The cords are combined in a 2-ply twist. Durable and decorative, coconut sennit cordage is an essential element of Pacific island life. For functional and craft use.
