Fiji Coconut Sennit Rope

Coconut sennit rope is a traditional cordage made from dried coconut palm fibers. The fibers of the coconut husk are bound together in overlapping fashion and hand-rolled to produce a sturdy but lightweight cord, then 3-ply braided for strength. Durable and decorative, coconut sennit rope is an essential element of Polynesian sea voyaging and architecture. For functional and craft use.
